For over 60 years ETC Sawmills Ltd has been a name well established within the UK sawmill industry. In the early 1990’s they invested in a then, industry leading, Soderhamn Eriksson Sawmill, manufactured in Sweden. Then, fifteen years later they built a second mill this time from Brodbaek a Danish company. This mill again has served them well and is still going strong today.

They have gone through a period of change since the Brodbaek mill was installed. They have now recently embarked on a substantial capital expenditure project to upgrade this Brodbaek mill with large scale investment in both new technology, machinery and systems.

This is where Indusvent came in again for a second time, when looking for industry leading dust extraction, ETC Sawmills chose Indusvent as their extraction partners again, this along with their unique Super-Blower dust extraction system.

For this mill extraction, a SBF162-5.0-1.0C Super-Blower filter was selected to meet the heavy demands of the mill production, whilst maintaining a trouble-free energy efficient operational system.

The 3 main suction duct lines from the Super-Blower system were installed complete with explosion isolation valves.

One suction line for the Arbor and Canter Saws, a second for the Stenner MHS Saws and the third line for the Brodbaek Crosscut Saws and Edger, this all with Indusvent’s unique ‘high pressure’ vacuum system for end of shift clean up.

Using pneumatic shut off dampers, together with our electrical control system, changeover from ‘Saw extraction’ to ‘Clean up mode’ is easily facilitated via the HMI touch screen.
